PURCHASE CONTRACT & GUARANTEE
DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS
A $250 deposit is required to hold a puppy. No refund of deposit will be given unless arrangements have been made and agreed upon. We realize that sometimes life throws in a monkey wrench and we understand this. However, there are only going to be certain instances in which we will consider viable in order for us to refund the deposit. Please be sure that you are going to be able to make the full payment and take home one of our puppies/dogs. Paying for and bringing home a new dog is not something to jump into unprepared. The well being of any dog that we place with anyone is of most importance to us. Be sure that taking home one of our dogs is something that you have researched and are willing to give 100% towards.
Payment plans may be set up and must be paid in the manner in which seller and purchaser have agreed upon. Puppy/dog must be paid in full before pick-up unless other arrangement are made and recorded in writing. Said puppy/dog is subject for re-sell if purchaser does not adhere to said agreements. Please keep contact with seller during the purchase process. Failure to remain in contact with seller for an extended period of time (more than one week) may result in puppy/dog being placed up for re-sell. Ex: If a deposit has been made but purchaser has not contacted or sent further payment within three weeks of placement of deposit; the seller is to assume that the purchaser is no longer interested in following through with agreed arrangement and do not want the puppy/dog. Anyone that is truly interested in one of our dogs will make it a point to stay in contract with us; simple as that. We do not have the time or patience to deal with people who are only half willing to follow though with their obligations. Such people are not suitable owners for our dogs. PERIOD!!!
SHIPPING AND PICK-UP
We prefer that anyone wanting a puppy from us to stop by and meet us in person and interact with our dogs. Anyone within driving distance should be more than willing to do this. Potential buyers who are not within normal driving distance may opt for pick-up or shipping arrangements. Please note: Older puppies and adult dogs will not be shipped and purchaser must come pick the dog up them selves.
Shipping for a puppy normally runs between $250-300. Purchaser is responsible for the cost of shipping and crate.
CONTRACT AND OBLIGATIONS OF PURCHASER
1. Any pup is to be examined by a veterinarian within 48 hours of delivery or pickup. If said pup is found to be other than healthy and free from birth defects by the veterinarian the pup is to be returned to Sandhill Kennels immediately and the pup will be replaced with another pup of the same sex, age and value as soon as one is available. Sandhill Kennels reserves the right to have said pup examined by our veterinarian before the pup is replaced. All veterinarian paperwork and information will be released to us prior to return of pup. All puppies will have been vet checked, received at least first set of shots, and will have had several good dewormings before being sold/placed.
2. The buyer resumes all responsibility to carry on with all appropriate vaccinations, exercise and feeding schedule to keep pup in top physical condition. Buyer also agrees to yearly examinations, heart worm testing and preventative and all other procedures necessary to assure good health.
3. Purchaser also agrees that if for any reason you cannot care for the puppy or dog from Sandhill Kennels American Bulldogs the purchaser will contact us and we will either take the pup or dog back or assist the owner in placing the dog in a proper home. The buyer also agrees that said pup or dog will not be taken to any shelter or similar establishment.
4. Sandhill Kennels American Bulldogs also reserves the right to have a dog or puppy returned if for any reason we feel the dog is being or has been neglected or abused.
5. Sandhill Kennels American Bulldogs guarantees all pups and dogs to be genetically sound in temperament at the time of delivery and for 7 days thereafter. If for any reason you feel a pup or dog is not sound in temperament you must contact Sandhill Kennels American Bulldogs immediately and a certified trainer must be contacted for an evaluation of the pup or dog at buyer's expense. If the dog is determined by the trainer and Sandhill Kennels American Bulldog to be unsound in temperament the pup or dog will be replaced in accordance to our contract. *Keep in mind that any change in environment can overload a puppy/dog and cause him to be reserved for a few days until he adjusts.
6. If said puppy/dog become crippled (dogs quality of life is affected and/or in severe pain) due to poor hips or elbows before 24 months of age and the dog has not been bred or studded Sandhill Kennels American Bulldogs will replace said dog with another pup of comparable value from our next available litter. Replacement will not be made if the dog has been bred prior to receiving the results. Replacement pups will be of the same sex as the original pup unless otherwise agreed to by both the purchaser and breeder and is placed in writing. The buyer of said dog then has the following options before receiving a replacement pup...1) the dog can be returned to Sandhill Kennels American Bulldogs at the buyers expense along with a health certificate, all shot records and registration paperwork, 2) the dog can be euthanized or 3) the purchaser has the option to keep the dog as long as the dog has been spayed or neutered and proof of such is forwarded to Sandhill Kennels American Bulldogs.
7. Sandhill Kennels American Bulldogs will not be held responsible for any problems; mental or physical; that may be produced out of any dog from our litters. We are not responsible for any breeding choices that are made by any parties other than ourselves. Breeding dogs is never a guarantee, therefore, just because one of the parents is quality, does not mean that he/she will produce great dogs. That’s just the nature of the game.
8. Purchaser also agrees that this contract and the Sandhill Kennels American Bulldogs Guarantee is voided if dog is bred before the age of 24 months (2 years). Prior to breeding or studding a dog from Sandhill Kennels American Bulldogs the dog must be checked for Hip Dysplasia and or genetic defects or genetic health problems. If this is not done prior to breeding this contract and guarantee are voided. If any dispute arises, proof of prior hip check from vet will be called upon.
9. Purchaser understands this guarantee is for a period of 24 months, with the restrictions indicated. This guarantee is for the original purchaser only and cannot be carried to another owner unless agreed to by Sandhill Kennels American Bulldogs and is placed in writing.
10. Purchaser also agrees that Sandhill Kennels American Bulldogs will follow the dogs name at all times: Example: "Rover of ShK” or "Sandhill Kennels Rover"
11. Sandhill Kennels American Bulldogs reserves all rights to void or change our guarantee at any time if the purchaser does not abide by all terms and conditions herein
12. This guarantee applies ONLY to dogs/puppies produced by Sandhill Kennels American Bulldogs and not dogs/puppies being re-sold by ShK. Guarantee is good for 24 months from the day puppy leaves our kennel.
13. All pet quality puppies/dogs will be required to be spayed/neutered and proof of operation must be provided to Sandhill Kennels in order to purchaser to receive registration papers (limited registration). If any puppy/dog sold as pet quality is bred; health guarantee will be void and purchaser will not be considered if they ever want to purchase another dog from us. NOTE: Sandhill Kennels American Bulldogs will not be held responsible for any problems; mental or health related; that may result from any puppy produced out of a litter from a dog that was sold on a pet quality, spay/neuter basis.
