* OUR BREEDING PHILOSOPHY AND GOALS *
We do not breed dogs just to produce puppies and to make a profit. There are already enough "breeders" like this. We have goals in mind and future plans always in the works for our program. We breed dogs for ourselves and to not rely on current trends to have an effect on what we breed. We also do not claim to have the greatest dogs on the planet (folks who claim this are kennel blind as all dogs have faults). However, we do feel as if we are working with and producing quality dogs. We know all of our dogs faults and do not have a problem pointing them out. Without knowing both your dogs pros and cons you can never know which direction to take your program. We strive to produce intelligent dogs with solid temperament, working ability and drive. We also produce dogs which are sound in conformation. While we would like most of our dogs to end up in working homes where their abilities will be tested; we feel as if our dogs can also become great family dogs. We do not breed for the public and only do a breeding when the would-be parents have been tested in some way. We feel responsible for every dog that we have bought into this world which is why we feel so strongly about who gets one of our dogs. We have put a lot of time and heart into our dogs and do not want to see all of our hard work and love be destroyed because a new owner doesn't do right by their new dog and the American Bulldog breed in general. This is why we do not sell pups to people who seem unwilling to learn more and to train and socialize their dogs. We do not want to see one of our dogs end up being a poor example of the breed simply because the person who has the dog didn't bother to teach him anything.

ShK/TAK Preacherman of Specilized
ShK's Kontender
Pairing Preacher with Konnie will bring together two different families of dogs.
Preacher is heavily bred off of Screaming Eagle and Boyd whereas Konnie is
inbred Vader Red and linebred Sander's Kombat. Being that each are heavily
line and inbred we pretty well know what each should bring to the table.
Preacher brings natural working abilities: hard grips, fast strikes, athletic
ability, and a pedigree that is well known for producing healthy, working dogs.
Konnie brings intelligence, willingness to please, good grips, and drive. Together they each offer stable and outgoing temperament with an edge. The
combo should blend well. We are highly excited about this breeding and
will be holding back at least two pups for ourselves. We are really hoping
to get these pups into working and show homes. If you are interested in a
working prospect this breeding will be worth looking into. We will not be taking deposits until after the pregnancy
has been confirmed.

* A NOTE ON PUPPIES AND MAKING PICKS *
Our puppies are whelped and raised indoors. During this time they are handled daily and are exposed to many different sounds and stimuli in and around their whelping box. This adds a little stress which helps them get used to different sounds and objects. We observe each puppy for character and physical traits which helps us to better choose the picks out of the litter. We NOT LET let pups go to new homes until at least 8 weeks old. We do not make picks until this time. We may even hold on to the litter even longer if we are still evaluating them. We do not understand how people can makes picks on puppies any younger than this age, much less at a week old. Puppies change so much. There is no way to make a "Top Pick" on a tiny, 1-5 weeks old puppy. We make our picks based on the puppies outgoing nature, courage, inquisitiveness, drive, and overall structure which we have observed since birth and through several tests which we do on the pups. We try not to put puppies with owners who can't handle a certain puppy. In other words, if you want a pup from us and you want pup #1 but your lifestyle and experience isn't up to said puppy; you don't get that pup. We also do not base picks on color and size alone. In fact, color doesn't play a part in it at all. We feel it most important to get a certain pup into the correct home. We do not breed for "pet quality" puppies therefore, we carefully observe each puppy and make our picks based on those findings. Of course there will always be puppies that seem better suited for a pet home and those will be priced and placed accordingly. We also do not take deposits on unconfirmed litters and do not hold a certain puppy for someone until that pup has been evaluated.
